WHERE WILL YOU TAKE US?

YOUR PREMIER STORYSHIP COMMUNITY

THE PROGRAMS

"The only program for improving storycraft across all mediums."

Welcome to the unique, comprehensive story/writing community that you've always wanted. With Storyship you will DO: You will write. You will design. You will create. You will interface with other storytellers across all mediums. You will succeed. This is bold storyship covering not only screenwriting and novels, but songwriting, podcasts, performances, marketing, journalism, virtual reality, gaming...you name it.

are you ready to get to work?  We sure are.

With Storyship, the focus is on your projects, not useless class exercises, not on repeating the same drivel about becoming a writer, three-act structures, and the like. Through Storyship you'll complete works, maximize their potential, elevate your game in your medium(s). This training is offered nowhere else. We have the experts, you bring your commitment. Together we'll get your ships set to sea, voyages begun.

THE MAGAZINE

Launching Spring 2017, STORYSHIP QUARTERLY will be unique in its field as it celebrates and supports storytellers across all mediums, not just literary work. Subscribe to be treated four times a year to some of the finest and most entertaining storyship in the world.

ABOUT

Dedicated to Your Storyship Success

WE'RE ABOUT ACTUAL WORK, NOT "HOW TO" DRIVEL

Across any medium, story is everything is story, and we celebrate and promote that here at Storyship. We do so by offering our magazine, STORYSHIP QUARTERLY, and robust Storyship Programs all year. Each program, whether it's a Master Workshop, a 90-Day Campaign, or a Private Consult, is designed for you.

JOIN US?

We're always open to adding to our team of skilled coaches (our Team of Raconteurs). So, do you think you have what it takes: the time, skills, and experience? Then click here and introduce yourself.

OUR TEAM OF RACONTEURS

To pull all this off...and it's a hat trick to be sure...we're bringing together exceptional experts in storyship from a number of story mediums, as well as solid leaders in event and magazine operations. Among our coaches are writing and production faculty who teach (or have taught) at USC School of Cinematic Arts, UCLA, the University of Michigan, UC Berkeley, the University of Texas, the Isaacson School for New Media, and the University of Massachusetts.

We're growing rapidly, so check back and see more raconteurs as they come aboard (all puns intended), and more info on the ones already listed. And contact us if you think you might be a good addition to the crew.

THE STORYSHIP PROGRAMS

The key to our story coaching success is our unique, customized focus on you and your objectives, not on some pre-packaged fluff, and our focus on GETTING THINGS DONE, not just spreading trite drivel. (If you've been to a 'writer's conference', you know exactly what we're getting at.)

Our programs are offered in comfortable, creative spaces, not boring classrooms and hotel meeting rooms. With us you will feel safe to explore, experiment, and take chances. Your work will be critiqued constructively not critically, with the focus on your success in whatever story medium you are engaged in. Because our focus is not just on writing, our attendees come from a variety of story mediums, with different skill levels--thus exponentially increasing your learning opportunities. Most importantly, the experience must be enjoyable and entertaining. Gotta have fun, or why do it? Right?
